Bernard Rousseau, Ph.D., is Dean of the Doisy College of Health Sciences at Saint Louis University and holds a joint professorship in Otolaryngology and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. His roles include leadership in academic administration, research, and clinical practice with a focus on health equity and vocal fold pathology. He previously served as Department Chair of Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh and Associate Dean for Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Recent studies include glucocorticoid effects on vocal fold healing and computational modeling of phonation.
Awards: Notable recognitions include Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Associate Fellow of the American Laryngological Association (ALA), and Chancellor Faculty Fellow at Vanderbilt University. He has also received teaching awards for mentorship in graduate research.
