Bernard Cole is a Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Vermont's College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. He serves as Director of the Vermont Space Grant Consortium and Vermont NASA EPSCoR program. Previously, he was Interim Dean of the College (2008-2013). He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Boston University.
His research focuses on statistical methods in biomedicine and public health, with emphasis on:
- Cancer clinical trials and epidemiology
- Longitudinal data analysis
- Chemoprevention study design
- Biostatistical applications in oncology and mental health
