Berna Akcali Gur

Dr. Berna Akcali Gur is Lecturer in Law at Queen Mary University of London's Centre for Commercial Law Studies, specializing in outer space law and digital governance. She convenes the Outer Space Law module and leads research on satellite broadband governance.

Her current projects examine legal frameworks for low-earth orbit satellite constellations and cybersecurity implications of emerging technologies. She secured an Internet Society Foundation grant for 'Global Governance of LEO Satellite Broadband' research.

Dr. Akcali Gur chairs the Membership Committee of the Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet) and serves as assessor for the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme.
