Berit-Ellen Juuso is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Lapland. Her research focuses on Sámi language didactics, phonological awareness, and literacy challenges in Sámi-speaking children. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Sami Language and has conducted extensive studies on technical reading skills in Sámi elementary education.
