Dr. Benjamin Yankson serves as Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director of Cybersecurity at SUNY Albany's College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity. He founded the HackIoT & PCCRT Research Lab and the Global CyberTech Exchange nonprofit, driving international academic-industry collaboration in cybersecurity capacity building.

With over $2 million in secured funding including Department of Defense projects, he actively mentors students through doctoral dissertations and capstone risk assessments. His 15+ years of industry experience as Application Security Manager and IT Operations Leader directly inform his experiential teaching methodology.
He leads campus diversity initiatives as former Chair of the Council Academic Assessment (2021-2023) and currently serves on the Senate Executive Committee, championing access for underrepresented groups in cybersecurity through the HackIoT Research Lab's outreach programs.
