Benjamin Scot Bergholtz

Benjamin Scot Bergholtz is an Assistant Professor in the School of Literature and Language, College of Liberal Arts at Louisiana Tech University. He earned his PhD from Louisiana State University in 2018 and previously held the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellowship at Georgia Tech.

His research investigates the intersections of global and American literature, critical theory, and aesthetics. Central to his work is the study of globalization's influence on literary forms, particularly through his book project Swallowing the World: Globalization and the Maximalist Novel, which posits maximalist fiction as both a response to and manifestation of global interconnectedness.
