Benjamin Peet, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Saint Martin's University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on combinatorics, topology, number theory, and mathematics education. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and his work bridges theoretical investigations into geometric configurations and group actions with practical pedagogical innovations in undergraduate teaching.
Peet’s research interests include Ramsey Theory, graph coloring, configurations of points and lines, and divisor function properties in number theory. He also develops strategies for integrating puzzles and problem-solving techniques into mathematics curricula to enhance student engagement and critical thinking. His topological work examines group actions on Seifert manifolds and elliptic 3-manifolds, exploring fiber preservation and orientation properties.
His recent publications (2018–2024) reflect this dual focus: theoretical studies on monochromatic triangle counts in edge-colored configurations and pedagogical papers on active learning methods. Despite no explicit mention of awards or grants, his contributions highlight interdisciplinary approaches linking pure mathematics research with educational practice.
