Benjamin Murdock is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Michigan. He earned his B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA (2004) and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Michigan (2010), advised by Gary Huffnagle and Eric White. His research focuses on the immune system's role in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), including immune manipulation in mouse models and peripheral immune changes in patients. He investigates age- and sex-based differences in ALS immune mechanisms and seeks translational therapies.
