Benjamin Mason Meier

Benjamin Mason Meier is a Professor of Global Health Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, affiliated with both the Department of Public Policy and the Gillings School of Global Public Health. His research focuses on the intersection of international law, public policy, and global health, emphasizing rights-based approaches to health governance.

Dr. Meier’s work spans foundational publications in global health law, including Human Rights in Global Health (2018) and Global Health Law & Policy (2023). His recent articles analyze pandemic treaties, soft law mechanisms, and legal preparedness for health threats like antimicrobial resistance and vaccine access.
