Benjamin Lerner, MD, MHS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Digestive Diseases) at Yale School of Medicine and Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital. He specializes in gastrointestinal disorders, with a focus on hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes, genetic testing criteria for CDH1 variants, and celiac disease. He completed his MD at Yale School of Medicine and MHS at Yale, following a residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
His research emphasizes improving identification of individuals at high risk for hereditary gastric cancer through refined genetic testing criteria.
