Benjamin Lampkin is a Lecturer in the Kinesiology program at the University of Tennessee, part of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Since 2017, he has held various roles at the university, including adjunct instructor and field education coordinator. He specializes in strength and conditioning, with professional experience as an assistant strength coach at Georgia State University and director of strength and conditioning at Shorter University. Lampkin also supports Olympic Sports Performance athletics and has leadership experience in private and corporate fitness sectors.
His education includes a BS in Marketing, BA in International Affairs, and MS in Sport Management. Lampkin holds certifications such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), USA Weightlifting Level 1, and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
Research interests focus on practical applications of strength training, fitness program design, and athlete development. His teaching includes courses like KNS 440 (Strength and Conditioning Programs) and PYED 452 (Beginner Weight Training). Lampkin’s work bridges academic instruction with real-world athletic and fitness industry practices.
