Benjamin Hescott is a Teaching Professor and Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Student Experience at Northeastern University's Khoury College of Computer Sciences. His leadership focuses on educational innovation, student success, and diversity initiatives in computing. He actively contributes to Boston-based academic and community programs, including Northeastern's oSTEM chapter supporting LGBTQ+ students in STEM.
Research interests span health informatics, computational biology, and algorithm design. Notably, his work explores interdisciplinary CS education, network-based disease modeling, and technology-driven public health interventions. Recent efforts include pilot studies on mobile health platforms for chronic disease management and molecular network analysis for disease taxonomy.
