Benjamin Haddon Parmenter

Dr Benjamin Haddon Parmenter is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University (ECU), affiliated with the School of Medical and Health Sciences and the Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute (NHIRI). His research focuses on the cardio-pulmonary protective effects of dietary bioactives, particularly flavonoids, investigating their roles in chronic diseases such as cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Western Australia (2023).

Key research interests include flavonoid mechanisms, chronic disease prevention, and nutritional epidemiology. He has published extensively on topics like flavonoid intake and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), type 2 diabetes prevention, and cardiovascular health outcomes.
