Benjamin Brown is a Senior Lecturer in Chiropractic Technique at the Department of Chiropractic, Macquarie University. He holds a PhD in Chiropractic from the same institution (2012), following his Master of Chiropractic (2003) and Bachelor of Chiropractic Science (2001). His research focuses on musculoskeletal pain management, spinal manipulation, and adolescent health, with notable work on bullying’s impact on back pain and scoliosis screening.
Key projects include cross-cultural validation of spinal health questionnaires, force characterization of spinal manipulative therapy, and longitudinal studies linking bullying to adolescent back pain. He has received awards including the 2023 Education Excellence Award and the NCMIC-JMPT Research Award (2023).
He actively participates in academic committees and has delivered invited talks on conservative interventions for idiopathic scoliosis. His research outputs span systematic reviews, clinical trials, and qualitative studies, emphasizing evidence-based practice and public health implications.
