Benjamin Bratton is a Professor of Digital Design at The European Graduate School / EGS and an Associate Professor of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. He directs UCSD's Center for Design and Geopolitics, collaborating with the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. Bratton holds a Ph.D. in the sociology of technology from UCSB. His work spans computational media, urban design, and geopolitical theory, with a focus on planetary-scale computation's impact on sovereignty.
