Benjámin Varga is a Research Fellow and lecturer at Eötvös Loránd University's Institute of Ancient and Classical Studies, with affiliations in the Department of Assyriology and Hebrew Studies, Department of Egyptology, and Department of Religious Studies. He also serves as a Department Officer for Egyptology and Religious Studies, and contributes to the MTA–ELTE LENDÜLET LITURGIATÖRTÉNETI KUTATÓCSOPORT (2018–2023) as a lecturer.
