Benedicte Brahic

Dr. Benedicte Brahic is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Migration and Interdisciplinary Global Studies (MIGS) group. Her research focuses on migration studies, gender and social justice, bilingualism, and higher education inequality. She collaborates with institutions like the University of KwaZulu Natal and the University of Stellenbosch on projects addressing educational disparities in South Africa and leads the Manchester Bilingual Cafe with the University of Manchester.

Dr. Brahic supervises PhD students like Yasmin Hussain, who investigates globalization and student mobility. She serves as International Exchange Coordinator and co-convenes the MIGS research group, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations in migration and globalization studies.

Based in Geoffrey Manton Building (Room 4.19), she teaches Globalisation, Media, Culture and Consumption (MA) and Global Society (UG). She offers office hours by appointment via email and is actively involved in postgraduate research supervision.
