معرفی
Ben Rogers is the Soffer Associate Professor of Engineering Science at Brandeis University, affiliated with the Martin A. Fisher School of Physics. He serves as Chair of both the Interdepartmental Program in Biological Physics and the Department of Engineering.
His research focuses on developing quantitative tools to control self-assembly at the colloidal scale using DNA nanotechnology, colloidal interactions, and active materials. Techniques include optical microscopy, DNA origami, and computer simulations.
Current interests include:
- Specificity in complex self-assembly
- Responsive nanoscale materials via phase transitions
- Active materials with dynamic properties
The Rogers Lab employs synthetic chemistry, optical tweezers, and statistical mechanics to unravel colloidal interactions and reprogram self-assembly processes.
