Ben Noble is an Associate Professor of Russian Politics at University College London's School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. He holds degrees from the University of Oxford, including a DPhil in Politics. His research focuses on legislative institutions in authoritarian regimes, particularly Russia, examining how policy conflicts are resolved within executive structures. Noble has authored/co-authored influential works like Navalny: Putin's Nemesis, Russia's Future?, recognized by the Financial Times. He advises policymakers on Russian politics and frequently contributes to media outlets such as the BBC, Reuters, and The Washington Post. Academic leadership roles include SSEES Careers Liaison Tutor and Policy Champion, alongside convening research groups like the Post-Soviet Press Group. His work bridges academia, policy, and public engagement.
