Belkıs ATASEVER ARSLAN

Prof. Dr. Belkıs Atasever Arslan is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Üsküdar University, where she has served since 2012. She holds an Adjunct Associate Professor position at the University of Illinois at Chicago (since 2019) and leads the Molecular Biotechnology Research Group. With a Doctorate in Physiology (Istanbul University, 2008), her career includes postdoctoral work at Sabancı University (2009-2012) and leadership roles as Department Head since 2019.

Recent Publications (2025-2020) emphasize metal complexes for antiviral/anticancer applications, neuroprotective natural compounds (sesamol, Hypericum), and genetic biomarkers in neurodegeneration. Key journals include Journal of Molecular Structure, Toxicology Reports, and Pharmacognosy Magazine.
