Dr. Behrouz Arabi is a Research Fellow at the University of York's School for Business and Society, focusing on the H3 Project. With a 23-year career bridging academia and industry, he specializes in sustainability, performance management, and decision-making tools within energy and agri-food sectors. His research integrates methodologies like Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to advance sustainable practices.
Education: BSc and MSc in Applied Mathematics (Operations Research), PhD in Performance Management-Energy Management from the University of Malaya (2013). Awarded the Best PhD Student Excellence Award and Bright Spark Scholarship.
Research Interests: Sustainable food cold chains, eco-efficiency modeling in power plants, data analytics in agriculture, and circular economy strategies. Notable contributions include the DEA-TOPSIS hybrid model for refrigeration technology selection.
Awards: Recipient of the Best Paper Award (POMS 2020), Iran National Productivity Network Award, and Prime Award 2024 for contributions to the UKRI Circular Chem project.
