Becky Lewis serves as Associate Director for Programs and Administration at Oakland University’s University Recreation and Well-Being. She oversees fitness, well-being, intramural, and club sports programming, alongside staff management, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. As adjunct faculty in the Communications Department, she contributes to teaching and academic leadership. Her 27-year career focuses on higher education well-being and recreation.
Education:
- BA in Journalism and Marketing, Central Michigan University
- MS in Exercise Health Studies, Miami University-Ohio
Her research interests emphasize student and employee well-being, program development for campus health, and administrative leadership in fostering inclusive environments. Becky chairs the Wellbeing and Work committee for the Grizzlies Healthy Planet Initiative and holds leadership roles in the OU Administrative Professional Association.
Awards:

She collaborates with the Dean of Students on academic conduct and Title IX committees, driving campus-wide initiatives. Her work prioritizes creating healthy, supportive environments through interdisciplinary partnerships.
