Becky J. Christian

Becky J. Christian, PhD, RN, FAAN, FNAP is Professor and Director of the PhD Program at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, with expertise in pediatric nursing research and academic leadership.

Education:

• BSN and MSN (Family-Child Nursing) from University of Missouri-Columbia
• PhD in Nursing Science from University of Texas at Austin

Her research program investigates children/adolescents with chronic conditions, analyzing physiological, functional, psychosocial, and developmental interactions during illness integration into daily life. She specializes in family adaptation to childhood chronic conditions/disabilities, emphasizing translational research and evidence-based practice in pediatric nursing through mixed-methods studies.
