Becky Ellery is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Greenwich, part of the School of Education within the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She works part-time, dedicating two days a week to the university, focusing on the Primary Education programme’s Maths Team. Her professional interests include fostering mathematical enjoyment in children, supporting trainee teachers’ confidence, and integrating research into primary classrooms.
Becky holds a BA Hons in Early Years from the University of Greenwich and a PGCE in Primary Education with Mathematics Specialism (2017). She previously served as a KS2 Teacher and Maths Lead at Hook Lane Primary School, gaining extensive classroom experience. She is currently completing an NPQ in Leading Primary Mathematics.
Her research emphasizes practical applications of educational theory in primary settings, particularly in mathematics pedagogy. She collaborates with the Maths Team to enhance training programs for future educators. No specific grants or awards are highlighted, though her contributions to teacher development are central to her role.
Becky’s involvement with the Maths Team reflects her commitment to bridging academic research and classroom practice, aiming to improve mathematics education outcomes for both students and educators.
