Becky De Lacy

Becky De Lacy is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design & Technology at the Manchester Fashion Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University. She specializes in sustainable, collaborative, and innovative approaches to fashion design, integrating technologies like sonic welding and laser cutting. Her roles include Competitions Lead, Admission Tutor, and Personal Tutor, emphasizing student-centered learning and creative resilience.

Education: BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology (1997–2001), Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (2020). Awards include the IFFTI Initiative Award 2024 and FHEA recognition.

Her research focuses on phygital (physical-digital) practices, sustainability, and industry collaboration.
