Beck A. Taylor is the 19th President of Samford University, a role he has held since 2021. Previously, he served as the 18th President of Whitworth University (2010–2021) and Dean of Samford’s Brock School of Business (2005–2010). He also held positions as Associate Dean and W.H. Smith Professor of Economics at Baylor University (1997–2005). Taylor earned his B.A. in Economics and Finance from Baylor, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. in Economics from Purdue University. His academic career includes a visiting scholar appointment at Harvard University (2002).
