Beatriz Salcedo-Strumpf

Beatriz Salcedo-Strumpf is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at the State University of New York at Oswego. She has been a full-time faculty member for over 21 years, specializing in Spanish language education and literary studies. Her teaching portfolio includes foundational Spanish courses, advanced topics in Spanish and Latin American civilization, and courses focusing on feminist literature and Mexican women's writing.

Salcedo-Strumpf holds a doctoral degree from Syracuse University (2007). She is an active member of the Literary Round Table in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she has contributed thirteen short stories to their anthologies over a decade. Her creative works include the novel Correo Electrónico para Amantes (2000) and its English translation Email for Lovers (2002), alongside numerous short stories published in literary magazines. Currently, she is compiling a new collection of short stories.

Her interdisciplinary research bridges feminist literary analysis, digital communication studies, and cultural narratives. She has taught courses such as SPA 102, SPA 202, and SPA 301, emphasizing both linguistic proficiency and critical engagement with literary texts.
