Beatriz Extremera Fernández

Beatriz Extremera Fernández is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Law at the University of Alicante. She holds a PhD in Law with international distinction for her work on The Burden of Mitigating Harm, which was published as a monograph by Dykinson. Her academic credentials include a Law degree and a Master's in Tort Law, both from the University of Alicante.

Her research focuses on the intersection of civil liability and emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence regulation within EU frameworks. She leads the project CIGE/2023/196 and contributes to national and regional studies on AI adaptation in tort law.

She has conducted international academic activities at Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy) and the University of Coimbra (Portugal). A member of the Ibero-American Legal News Magazine editorial board since 2024, she actively participates in knowledge transfer initiatives.
