Beatrice Colombo is a Research Fellow at the University of Bergamo, affiliated with the Department of Management Engineering, Information and Production. She earned her Master's degree in Management Engineering from the University of Bergamo in 2019 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Technology, Innovation and Management through a joint program with the University of Naples Federico II. Her research, co-financed by Lombardy Region and ENEA, focuses on circular economy principles, sustainability, and polymer matrix composites reinforced with recycled carbon fibers.
- PhD in Technology, Innovation and Management (University of Bergamo/University of Naples Federico II)
- MSc in Management Engineering (University of Bergamo, 2019)
Her work explores the intersection of Smart Lean & Sustainable Manufacturing with specific emphasis on:
- Recycling technologies for carbon fiber-reinforced composites
- Industrial symbiosis in textile supply chains
- Eco-efficient systems and life cycle assessment
- Digitalization's role in circular economy
- Hybrid yarn production from recycled materials
- Green skills development for manufacturing
Beatrice's research output reveals a strong focus on textile sustainability through material recycling and supply chain collaboration, supported by empirical studies across Italian manufacturing. Her publications analyze both technical solutions and strategic frameworks for circular transitions.
