Beatrice Blümer is a Doctoral Fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz (Max Planck Society), where she is affiliated with Department Wolf. She completed her Master's degree in 2021 and is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Kassel. Her research focuses on the copying tradition of Cristoforo Buondelmonti's Liber insularum Archipelagi, analyzing textual and pictorial descriptions of Aegean islands from Renaissance and Mediterranean art perspectives, with specialization in manuscript studies and text-image correlations.
