Beate André is a Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Nursing at NTNU's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in clinical medicine (2010) from NTNU and has extensive academic and clinical experience spanning nursing education, palliative care research, and healthcare system innovation.

Research Focus: Palliative care, nursing documentation standards, healthcare workforce well-being, and systemic reforms in municipal and specialist health services. Notable projects include evaluating Norway’s 'Joy of Life for the Elderly' strategy and mapping positive work experiences in healthcare systems.
Grants and Leadership: Project manager for multiple initiatives including Livsgledesykehjem (elderly care strategy evaluation), nursing documentation implementation at St. Olavs Hospital, and undergraduate research integration programs.
