Dr. Beata Borowska serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Lodz. She is a research and teaching employee with expertise in biological sciences, specializing in biological anthropology.
Her educational background includes completing biology studies with a specialty in biological anthropology at the University of Lodz, which has been her first and only academic institution since graduation.
Dr. Borowska's research focuses on paleopathology, the biology of prehistoric human populations, and human bioarchaeology. She actively participates in archaeological excavations and analyzes osteological materials, with particular expertise in forensic anthropology. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in forensic contexts.
She has been involved in archaeological excavations since her graduate studies and continues to participate as an anthropological expert, providing analyses and anthropological expertise for various projects.
Within the university community, Dr. Borowska supervises Forensic Biology students, serves as guardian of the interdisciplinary "Antropołowcy" Student Research Group, and oversees student internships at the Department of Anthropology. She also functions as a court expert in anthropology, applying her academic knowledge to legal contexts.
