Baskar Ganapathysubramanian is the Joseph C. and Elizabeth Anderlik Professor in Engineering and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University. His research focuses on computational mechanics, stochastic analysis, and AI-driven solutions for complex systems in agriculture and materials science. He holds an Affiliate Professor appointment and leads interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of engineering and data science.
Education: Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University (2008, 2006); B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (2003).

- AI in agriculture: precision phenotyping, crop modeling, and pest detection
