Dr. Bas Dutilh is an Associate Professor in Bioinformatics at Utrecht University's Faculty of Science and chairs the Viral Ecology and Omics Group at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. His research focuses on metagenomics, genomics, and integrative bioinformatics, with a particular emphasis on viral and microbial communities in diverse biomes.
