Bartosz Sikora is a Research and Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Cytophysiology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. His research focuses on cell physiology, particularly in areas such as stem cell biology, gene expression regulation, and biomedical applications of biomaterials. Dr. Sikora holds a Doctorate awarded in 2019. He has contributed to over 150 publications and led 3 research projects, with an h-index of 8 (WoS) and 5 (Scopus). His work spans topics including stem cell toxicity assessment, biomaterial biocompatibility, and the role of microRNAs in metabolic disorders.
Key research interests include the paracrine activity of adipose-derived stem cells, osteogenesis regulation, and the application of melatonin receptors in cancer research. He has also investigated the biological response of medical implants and explored regenerative approaches for ocular and bone tissues.
