Barry Hill is a Professor in Nursing and Critical Care (Practice) at Northumbria University, affiliated with the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. He holds a PhD (2024), MSc in Advanced Practice (2016), and various clinical qualifications including NMC registration as a Nurse (Adult) and Independent Prescriber. With over 25 years of experience, he has held leadership roles such as Head of School and Director of Employability, overseeing academic programs and multi-million-pound budgets. His research focuses on clinical education, critical care, and advanced practice, with a strong emphasis on translating findings into global healthcare practices.
