Barry Brown

Barry Brown is a **Professor of Human Computer Interaction** at **Stockholm University** and **Head of the HCC Section** at the **University of Copenhagen**. He also holds visiting roles at **KTH Royal Institute of Technology** and is an **Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham**. His research focuses on digital technology use, leisure technologies, and the intersection of HCI with social sciences.

He leads the **STIR Group** (Stockholm Technology and Interaction Research) at Stockholm University and has directed the **Mobile Life research centre** (2011–2017). His work has been funded by Vinnova, SSF, VR, Wallenberg, Microsoft, and the EU, among others, totaling over $8 million (75 million SEK) in grants.
