Barry A. Jones

Dr. Barry A. Jones serves as Dean of Campbell University Divinity School and holds the Lewis E. and Martha Barnes Tyner Chair of Bible. He has been faculty since 2000, previously teaching at Mars Hill University and serving as pastor of Park View Baptist Church. His teaching focuses on Biblical Hebrew and Old Testament literature, including specialized courses on Exodus, Jeremiah, and Psalms.

Education:

• M.Div., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1988)
• B.A. in Religion, Campbell University (1985)

Research Interests: Jones specializes in Old Testament exegesis with emphases on prophetic literature, biblical Hebrew, and theological interpretation. His work bridges academic rigor and pastoral application, particularly in addressing contemporary religious challenges through ancient texts.
