Dr. Barbra Richardson is a Research Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington School of Public Health. She is also a Joint Member at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and affiliated with Harborview Medical Center. Her work focuses on statistical methodologies for infectious disease research, particularly HIV/AIDS and microbicide studies. She has contributed to over 250 peer-reviewed articles and played key roles in designing clinical trials and cohort studies globally.

Her research spans statistical analysis of infectious disease data, survival analysis with uncertain outcomes, and methods for handling missing data. Dr. Richardson has been recognized with the IAS Young Investigator Award and actively participates in global health initiatives such as the dapivirine ring research and Washington state's COVID-19 modeling efforts.
