Barbara Verfürth

Prof. Dr. Barbara Verfürth is a Professor at the Institute for Numerical Simulation (INS) at the University of Bonn since October 2022. Previously, she served as a Junior Research Group Leader and Tenure-Track Professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2020-2022, was a PostDoc at the University of Augsburg (2018-2020), and completed her PhD at the University of Münster (2015-2018). Her academic journey demonstrates a strong focus on numerical analysis and computational mathematics.

Prof. Verfürth's research interests span several interconnected areas in computational mathematics:
