Zoïs Moitier is an Assistant Professor at the Applied Mathematics Unit (UMA) of ENSTA Paris since 2024. He is also affiliated with the IDEFIX Inria team. His academic journey includes postdoctoral research at ENSTA Paris (2022–2024), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2020–2022), and University of California, Merced (2019–2020), following a PhD at University of Rennes 1 (2016–2019) under Stéphane Balac and Monique Dauge.
- Research Focus: Mathematical modeling of photonic resonators, scattering resonances, whispering gallery modes, nonlinear Helmholtz equations, and wave propagation in complex media.
- Collaborations: Patrick Joly, Maryna Kachanovska, Rainer Mandel, Camille Carvalho, and Barbara Verfürth.
His work spans theoretical analysis and numerical methods, with applications in photonics and wave phenomena. Recent publications (2024–2022) highlight studies on whispering gallery modes, frequency combs, and sign-changing coefficient problems. Key methodologies include QPAX for high-aspect-ratio scattering and nonlinear Helmholtz equation solutions.
