She teaches Russian Literature courses at various levels and serves as a reference professor for thesis supervision and internship verifications for the LCLT degree program.
She earned her Ph.D. in Slavic Comparative Literature from the University of Milan in 1992.
Professor Ronchetti is a leading scholar in Modern Russian Literature and Translation Studies. Her research explores intertextual and translational aspects of European culture, with specific focus on Russian literary tradition from the 19th to 21st centuries. She has developed an extensive body of work analyzing "poetic images" across Russian literature, examining concepts such as the City, the Duel, the Train, the Venus of Milo, Flight, and Photographic portraits. Her research interests extend to Memory Studies, where she examines intergenerational transmission of cultural memory, particularly through women's voices in Russian contexts. Her scholarly approach integrates literary analysis with cultural, historical, and philosophical perspectives, revealing the complex interplay between Russian literature and broader European intellectual traditions.
Her recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on the relationship between Russian literature and broader European cultural contexts. She has explored topics ranging from contemporary Russian fiction and affective reading to intergenerational memory, women's narratives, and the concept of "minor" versus "major" literatures. Her scholarly work increasingly engages with spatial studies, examining how Russian literature represents space from the steppe to the cosmos, and with visual studies, particularly the relationship between literature and photography. The recurring themes in her research include intertextuality, cultural boundaries, and the transmission of memory across generations.
