Barbara Krystyna Pierscionek

Professor Barbara Krystyna Pierscionek is Deputy Dean (Research and Innovation) at Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care. She holds expertise in optics, biochemistry, biomechanics, and nanotechnology applied to eye research. Her work spans eye development, aging, disease, and ethical-legal aspects of Big Data.

Education: PhD in Protein Chemistry/Optics from University of Melbourne; MBA (University of Bradford); legal qualifications including LLM in Cybersecurity (LMU). Research focuses on lens optics, cataract therapeutics, and ethico-legal challenges in healthcare technology.
