Barbara Knight

Barbara Knight is a Lecturer at the Belk College of Business (BCOB) in the Department of Management at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her teaching focuses on business and management, while her research interests span corporate social responsibility, business ethics, organizational strain, international business, corporate misconduct, and active learning pedagogy. She holds a DBA from UNC Charlotte, an Executive MBA from Claremont Graduate University’s Peter Drucker School of Management, and a B.S.B.A. from Seton Hall University.

Dr. Knight has over 30 years of industry experience, including roles in finance and supply chain management at multinational firms like Unilever and General Motors. She founded a family real estate investment company in 2010 and currently provides management consulting in operations, finance, and profit improvement. Her expertise includes finance and accounting, business analytics, strategic management, and international business.

She is recognized as an Honors Faculty member at BCOB until June 2030. While no specific grants or advising roles are detailed, her professional background emphasizes practical application of business principles across diverse sectors.
