Barbara Jentleson is an Associate Professor of the Practice Emerita of Education at Duke University, affiliated with the Education Program in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a Ed.D. from George Washington University and B.A./M.A. from the University of Georgia. Her expertise focuses on educational equity through afterschool programs for at-risk youth, special needs adaptation, and university-community partnerships. She has led initiatives like Project H.O.P.E., improving Durham's afterschool services through evaluation and resource provision. Her work emphasizes family engagement in out-of-school time programs and urban youth development.
