Barbara Futrell

Barbara Futrell is an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the College of Nursing & Health Professions at Arkansas State University. With a focus on clinical education, she oversees obstetric and community clinical rotations for BSN and ASN students.

• Education: MSN (Arkansas State University, 2023), BSN (University of Arkansas, 2017), ASN (East Arkansas Community College, 2009), LPN (Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute, 2004)

Her research and teaching interests center on Preeclampsia prevention and Labor and Delivery Management, informed by her clinical experience in obstetrics. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Leadership, with anticipated graduation in December 2024.
