Prof. Barbara Franke is Chair of Molecular Psychiatry at Radboud University's Faculty of Medical Sciences, where she heads the Department of Medical Neuroscience at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc). She serves on the Strategy Board of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour and holds an honorary Adjunct Professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Her research focuses on genetic contributions to neurodevelopmental psychiatric disorders (especially ADHD and comorbidities), employing multi-omics approaches including epigenetics, bioinformatics, neuroimaging genetics, and molecular pathway analysis. She founded/coordinates major international consortia including IMpACT, ECNP Network 'ADHD across the Lifespan', and co-founded ENIGMA.
