Annette Schenck is a Full Professor in Translational Genomics of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc), Netherlands, since 2020. She has held various academic roles, including Associate Professor (2009-2020), Assistant Professor (2008-2009), and Principal Investigator (2007-present) at the Department of Human Genetics, Donders Institute of Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. Her career spans postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute and a PhD at the University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France.
- Education: PhD in Molecular Basis of Fragile X Syndrome (2003), University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France; Master's in Biotechnology, Berlin University of Technology, Germany.
Her research focuses on the molecular, cellular, and developmental basis of Intellectual Disability and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, utilizing Drosophila melanogaster models and translational genomics. She has made significant contributions to understanding genetic mechanisms in these conditions, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders and Neuropsychiatric Disorders.
