She holds a PhD and conducts research focused on developmental psychology, particularly in autism spectrum disorders.
Her research interests include:
- Social-cognitive development in infants and preschoolers, examining how children understand psychological states and apply this knowledge in communication. This involves studies on joint attention, theory of mind, imitation, play, and inhibitory control in both neurotypical children and those with autism.
- Efficacy of community-based early interventions for autistic preschoolers, including interventionist training, treatment fidelity, and program effectiveness.
Her publications reflect a consistent focus on autism interventions and developmental mechanisms, with recent work exploring video modeling techniques and foundational social-cognitive processes. She teaches undergraduate courses in child development, child psychopathology, and disability, along with graduate courses in child therapy and psychopathology.
