Barb Stettler is an emeritus associate professor of family and consumer sciences at Bluffton University. She transformed the department during her 30-year tenure, expanding from two majors to five accredited programs including food and nutrition (ADA-accredited), clothing/textiles/merchandising, child development, and wellness.
She earned recognition for international work in Jamaica, where she lectured on maternal/child nutrition for the Ministries of Health and Education and later led student cross-cultural programs. As faculty chair, she served on nearly every university committee and acted as football team dietitian for 20 years. She received the Faculty/Staff Service Award for fostering campus community through student mentorship and departmental leadership.
